Outside of its more than 340 restaurants nationwide, the Columbus, Ohio-based fast-food chain also sells its Sliders in the freezer aisle in a variety of grocery stores.

Now, for the first time, the company is expanding the market for Sliders through a partnership that will make them available via automated hot-food vending machines located in venues such as college campuses, corporate settings, healthcare facilities and elsewhere.

Millennial parents and GenZers are fueling the collectible cards craze. How big is the resurgence of trading cards? Influencer and wrestler Logan Paul just sold a rare Pokémon card he owned for more than $16 million.

Trading cards were a big trend at Toy Fair 2026 in New York City, where Bagable.com spoke with Kayou, a leading trading cards brand in China.

Kayou arrived in the US in the fall with the launch of three card series tied to global franchises “My Little Pony,” “Naruto” and “Tokidoki.”

The company told Bagable.com that it will debut “KPop Demon Hunters” trading cards in the US market in the summer.

Heinz has figured out how to clean up the messy pairing of hot crispy fries with slippery, hard-to-open ketchup packets. Just add a pull-out pocket to the cardboard fry box for the condiment.

Heinz on Tuesday unveiled the Heinz Dipper, a redesigned fries container with a built-in ketchup compartment engineered for dipping on-the-go. The goal of the new design is to eliminate those “oops” moments — a ketchup packet (or Mayo if that’s your preference) refusing to open, or worse, exploding upon opening.

Pantone, the global color authority, made its much-anticipated announcement on Thursday, saying the hue “serves as a symbol of calming influence in a frenetic society rediscovering the value of measured consideration and quiet reflection.”

According to Pantone experts, “Cloud Dancer signifies our desire for a fresh start.”

“We are living in a transitional time where people are seeking truth, possibility and a new way of living,” said Laurie Pressman, vice president of Pantone Color Institute. “Cloud Dancer is an airy white hue that exemplifies our search for balance between our digital future and our primal need for human connection, a liminal space that is a launchpad for creative expression, as individuals and communities are experimenting beyond traditional boundaries, opening the door to increased imagination and innovation.”

To arrive at its annual decision on the hue of the New Year, a practice it first started in 1999, Pantone’s color team study both macro and micro trends in fashion, art, travel, consumer products, social media, technology and other influences around the world that best encapsulate and reflect the prevailing mood of society.

In some years, it was more than one color. Pantone picked two colors for 2016: baby blue and dusty pink, describing them as “welcoming colors that fulfill our yearning for reassurance and security.”

2021 was also a year of two colors: “Ultimate Gray” and “Illuminating” (a shade of yellow).

Once the color of the year is declared, brands rush to produce all kinds of products — clothing, footwear, makeup, jewelry, luggage, home decor and furnishings and houseware in that shade.

Pantone gave a peek into brands that are ready with Cloud Dancer offerings in 2026. They include a Motorola special edition phone, a new Play-Doh product in the “Cloud Dancer” hue and even a new Post-It Notes collection in shade “Cloud Dancer.”

Johanna Constantinou, an interior trends expert with UK-based Tapi Carpets & Floors, called Cloud Dancer “one of Pantone’s most surprising Color of the Year choices to date.”

“At a time when many expected richer, moodier hues, Cloud Dancer instead signals a shift toward clarity, calm and quiet refinement,” Constantinou said. “This unexpected choice suggests a countertrend emerging alongside maximalism: spaces that prioritize rest, lightness and breathing room.”

At home, she said the color can be paired with warm neutrals, soft grays, muted greens, dusty blues, blush pinks or light terracotta.

“Cloud Dancer’s strength lies in its ability to sit quietly at the heart of a variety of distinct moods, from soft and dreamy to vibrant and unexpected,” she said.

Having a first-time float in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade this year turned into a blockbuster decision for at least one type of business.

Holland America Line (a division of Carnival Corporation), a major operator of cruises to Alaska, debuted its first-ever float during the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. True to its mission, the float was designed to showcase the beauty and wonders of Alaska with sculptures of glaciers, wildlife and Alaska’s popular Denali National Park.

The float also carried on it some star power with singer-songwriter Jewel, who performed while riding on the float.

Then came Black Friday (or the day after Thanksgiving), one of the biggest shopping and sales day of the year. It’s when bargain-hungry consumers and gift seekers feverishly look for deals on clothing, toys, shoes, coats, holiday decorations and apparently, also cruises.

Holland America Line, on Thursday, said the business this year “broke its Black Friday weekend sales record in the US,” with bookings jumping 19% over the previous record set in the same period from Black Friday to Cyber Monday in 2023.

Moreover, it said record Black Friday bookings came a day after Holland America Line’s float made its appearance during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.

“This holiday season, we are seeing guests prioritize the experience itself in booking travel, looking for leisurely vacations that build connections and create shared memories,” Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line, said in a statement.

The company said bookings were especially strong among guests planning summer Alaska vacations next year that combine the cruise experience with immersive land tours to Denali National Park.

Walk into the store on a chilly winter weekend and you’re greeted by the warm, sweet and heavenly aroma of waffles freshly made-to-order and delivered warm on a plate to customers as they peruse displays of cozy and classic Nordic-design wool sweaters, jackets, flannel shirts, bags and blankets.

Why waffles? The store staff explained that in Norway, eating waffles after a strenuous outdoor hike is a popular tradition. “We wanted to bring that aspect of Norway into our stores here in the US,” a store employee told Bagable.com.

“The Littlest Float” from Pepperidge Farm’s Goldfish crackers, which took two months to build, measures just 8.8 inches by 7 inches, or 14 Goldfish crackers long, and will be pulled by a miniature version of a traditional Ram RC truck.

This is the first time in more than a decade that the Goldfish brand is popping up again in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.

“There’s no better place to share the smallest snack with the biggest smile than at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” Mike Fanelli, Goldfish brand’s senior director of marketing, said in a statement. “It’s a joyful reminder that even the tiniest things can bring the greatest joy during the holidays.”

Heinz and backpacks and travel accessories brand, Herschel Supply Co., have teamed up to create a limited-edition collection of ketchup-inspired luggage.

The brands said the idea was inspired “by the quarter of Gen Z and Millennials who pack their own condiments when dining on-the-go.”

The Herschel x Heinz collection includes a medium hardshell luggage (priced at $330) and the large carry-on hardshell option (priced at $280), both in the classic ketchup red color.

The playful design also features a cheeky “tear here” design on the outside to mimic a ketchup packet, Heinz ketchup packets printed on the inside liner fabric, a pocket to hold actual ketchup packets, and a removable belt and luggage tag in the shape of Heinz ketchup packets.

Crayola said it is launching an exclusive collection of the “My Favorite Colors” crayons, markers and colored pencil packs, activity kits and other products (based on the voting results) in November.

“This year Crayola is celebrating creativity through color and the deeply personal role it plays in connecting us to the past and inspiring us anew,” Crayola chief marketing officer, Victoria Lozano, said in a statement. “Color is integral to who we are and how we see the world. It has the power to connect us across cultures, generations, and emotions.”

Amazon said it has helped to provide more than 60 million meals for free from food banks across the US and UK to those facing food insecurity, a situation that confronts nearly 50 million people annually in America.

The retailer also plans to ramp up its food access efforts (in partnership with food banks) over the next three years to deliver meals for free to individuals and families in need.

“The impact of home delivery goes beyond convenience—research shows that it can save families on average $100 monthly in time and travel costs,” Bettina Stix, Amazon’s global director of community impact, said in a statement. “By extending home delivery through 2028, we’re committing to continue using our delivery network to help ensure families have reliable access to nutritious meals.”

Amazon noted that its food access initiative launched during the pandemic as “an emergency response” and from there has evolved into a longer-term mission to expand food access. It also said that the challenge with food insecurity isn’t always about having enough food but making sure that food reaches those who are facing hunger.

To that end, Amazon said its partnership with nationwide food banks is a way to leverage the company’s vast logistics and delivery network to assist with free home delivery, bulk delivery to food banks and to reach people, including in rural communities, who are facing transportation barriers, mobility challenges, or other obstacles that prevent access to traditional food assistance programs.
