Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, Cookies N’ cream, mint chocolate chip, cookie dough. You guessed it. These are among the most popular ice cream flavors with consumers.
It’s a solid lineup, so why mess with it? Except, why not?
Frida, the maker of products for babies and new moms, said it will soon introduce a new limited-edition “breast milk” ice cream, not made with actual breast milk.
The exact timeline for it to hit the market is in about nine months. It’s a clever marketing stunt - shocker! The ice cream idea, it said, is tied to the launch of a new 2-in-1 manual breast pump product from the brand.
“It’s clear that people are curious about its taste... There are many Reddit threads with descriptions of [breast milk’s] sweet, creamy flavor traits that are not unlike ice cream,” the company said in a statement.
To appease curious minds, Frida created the ice cream in the “likeness” of actual breast milk. The company told Bagable.com that the ice cream’s flavor is meant “to mimic the sweet, creamy taste of breast milk.”
Frida declined to provide details about exactly when, and where, the ice cream will be available.
