Subway is riffing on the “Turducken” with its new Thanksgiving-themed sandwich.
On Nov. 13, the sandwich chain is debuting the “TurHamKen,” which layers oven-roasted turkey, Black Forest ham and rotisserie-style chicken between the sub roll.
The TurHamKen, which rhymes with Turducken (a deboned stuffed chicken inside a deboned stuffed duck inside a deboned stuffed turkey complex concoction), is part of the chain’s limited-time Festive Feast subs offerings nationwide that include two other new sandwiches.
In addition to the TurHamKen, there’s a new Festive Turkey sandwich and a Festive Chicken sub. The collection of three sandwiches comes with cranberry sauce and stuffing.
Subway said its twist on a classic Thanksgiving meal could work well this year for a potluck Friendsgiving or a fuss-free festive gathering.
